Hallmarking
To give you confidence in what you are buying, we send each of our handcrafted jewellery pieces off to the Edinburgh Assay Office. There they will test the purity of the metal and stamp or engrave into the piece the appropriate hallmark.
The hallmark consists on our makers mark (which is composed of the letters S and J within two hearts), the assay office mark (a castle representing Edinburgh Assay office), the purity of the metal (eg 925 for sterling silver) and the year it was hallmarked.
